She looks sweet as well as innocent but do not underestimate her as she’s got the power to have your head removed by simply shouting out, “Off with her head!”
This adorable Queen of Hearts Child Costume comprised of a three piece set consisting a short dress that features a full black skirt that includes a white marabou trim at the hemline; a formfitting bodice featuring vertical back and white stripes adorned with red hearts and bows; short and puffy red sleeves; an attached red standup collar and an attached red belt at the natural waistline. Also included with this cute ensemble are; a black choker featuring a ruby red jewel and a golden crown studded with blue jewels.
Sooth her unpredictable temper by adding a bulging petticoat, a pair of horizontally striped black and white stockings and a pair of black or red slippers. This may keep her quiet long enough to play croquet with her King or with Alice.
Did you know that Lewis Carroll was the author who wrote Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland? But did you also know that he was a mathematician as well? In any case, Carroll endowed the Queen of Hearts with cruelty and a very foul temper as she rules the land alongside her King of Hearts who is himself a compassionate monarch. Thus, when the Queen decrees a beheading, the King secretly offers a pardon.
The Queen of Hearts actually has two passions. The first is to behead anyone for the most minor infraction and the second is to play her very own kind of croquet by using hedgehogs instead of balls and flamingoes instead of mallets.
Warning: Do try to avoid making the same mistakes that many others make by confusing the Queen of Hearts with the Red Queen who appeared in the sequel, Through the Looking Glass. These two queens are nothing alike.
